Summer Vacations

Summer vacations bring to mind many different activities. Many families like to take their summer vacations at campgrounds, roughing it for a week in the great outdoors. You can visit many great campground destinations for your summer vacation. Yellowstone National Park has twelve different campgrounds to choose from with each one having its own spectacular outdoor views.

Many individuals, couples and families love to visit beaches as part of their summer vacations. The United States has many scenic beaches available. Florida towns such as St. Petersburg and Clearwater have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. There are nice hotels to stay in and many local attractions to visit other than the beach. Beach lovers also love to visit California and Florida for their summer vacations, but perhaps the best-loved beach location in the United States is Hawaii. Hawaii offers white, grey, black and even green sand beaches. While at the beach, you can enjoy snorkeling, body boarding, swimming, surfing or just lying on the beach soaking up the sun.

Another favorite of summer vacations is a visit to theme parks. Americans love theme parks and there is probably one within driving distance, no matter where you live. Six Flags has 30 different theme, water and animal parks and family entertainment centers. You can go speeding down the rail at 55 miles per hour on the Ninja at Six Flags Magic Mountain, enjoy the Wild Water Pool at Six Flags Splashtown in Houston or see a white rhino at Six Flags Wild Safari in New Jersey. If you are in Anaheim, you can visit the home of Mickey Mouse – Disneyland. This year, Disneyland celebrates 50 years of magic and is one of the most beloved theme parks, in not only America, but also the world.
